QTopia Greenphone gallery
Although much more expensive than OpenMoko's Neo1973 will be, QTopia Greenphone looks quite promising (and the price might decrease at some point). It is a phone that runs GNU/Linux with the QTopia platform developed by Trolltech. Greenphone is currently more of a prototype than a product for the mass market, developed as a showcase for companies who wish to develop mobile phones based on the Free (GPLed) Qtopia platform and developers who can afford it to use it for developing their web applications.
Of course, this still makes it quite important, because, in addition to OpenMoko, it will drive the innovation and development of this new breed of "open" mobile smartphones forward, to a point where even masses of ordinary people will use them.
If you're curious and would like to see how this phone looks, MobileBurn has a gallery of Qtopia Greenphone. For more information about it see Trolltech's Greenphone site and Qtopia.net.
Of course, this site will track the progress of these kinds of devices all in one place. We will also have a section where you will be able to see all currently available smartphones and similar devices which run on Free Software like GNU/Linux.

At FOSDEM I was told it is only a reference board (meant for trying prototypes of software on) and will never be produced for the consumer market. Of course similar phones will be made in the future, probably by other companies.
... said the guy whose mobile is always switched off
Yeah, the entry should probably emphasize that more. It is basically a technology preview which may inspire others to make similar phones for the market.
